Our Roles

The Registered Behavior Technician® (RBT®) is a paraprofessional certification in behavior analysis. RBTs assist in delivering behavior analysis services and practice under the direction and close supervision of an RBT Supervisor and/or an RBT Requirements Coordinator, who are responsible for all work RBTs perform. As a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) with Lively Behavioral Solutions, you will serve as a critical member of a multidisciplinary team, providing one-on-one ABA therapy to children with autism to help them master new skills. You’ll sit in the front row for some of the most pivotal moments of our kids’ lives. Other perks include opportunities for continuing education, mentorship, paid on-the-job training … and drawings from our kids, of course! Not a Registered Behavior Technician? Don’t worry! We provide the training needed while you are a behavior technician to help guide you to sit for the examination to become registered.
During sessions, behavior technicians take data on client programs. This data is reviewed by their supervisors and clinical team, and changes are made to the client’s behavioral plan as they progress. The opportunities for data collection happen through play. So, you may look like you’re playing with cars or barbies, but you actually might be teaching functional communication. The goal is to help the client be as independent and integrated into their community as possible.

Professionals certified at the BCBA level are independent practitioners who provide behavior-analytic services. Behavior Analysts will provide support to individuals and their families by conducting functional behavior assessments (FBAs), creating individualized behavior intervention plans, conducting parent consultations, and supervising behavior technicians to ensure support and treatment fidelity.
